Facebook Beli Perusahaan Desain Sofa – Situs jejaring sosial Facebook dikabarkan tengah melakukan akuisisi terbaru terhadap perusahaan desain Sofa.
Perusahaan yang berbasis di Amsterdam, Belanda ini merupakan perusahaan desain yang berdiri di Amsterdam. Sofa biasa mengerjakan aplikasi-aplikasi yang berkaitan dengan desain, seni, ikon untuk antarmuka dan produk-produk e-Commerce.
“Setelah sukses di Mac, kami melihat bahwa perusahaan ini (Sofa), yang terbiasa kerja di tim kecil dan senantiasa berusaha keras untuk menemukan solusi terhadap berbagai masalah rumit, cocok dengan budaya kerja di Facebook,” kata Direktur Desain Facebook Kate Aronowitz, seperti dilansir Softpedia, Senin (13/6/2011).
Dua produk Sofa yang akan diakuisisi Facebook yakni Checkout dan Enstore. Namun sayang Aplikasi itu sedang dalam pengelolaan. Belum diketahui fungsi apa yang akan dijalankan dua aplikasi itu untuk Facebook.
Rencananya juga, perusahaan Sofa akan segera berkemas dari Amsterdam untuk menempati markas Facebook di Palo Alto, California, Amerika Serikat.
